A Writer’s prayer
While sitting in front of my laptop working on yet another movie series after getting off my 9-5 early today, there was a lot running through my mind. It doesn’t matter whether you are a screenwriter, blogger, novel writer, song writer, there are emotions that come with it.
There is so much time that goes into it and sometimes we get discouraged because we do not see the finish line. Some cases, we doubt that there are any results at all. Many cases, we build our stories because it’s all we know to do.
It doesn’t matter what else we are doing in life, after we are done producing results for our 9-5, we are back home to produce on our own dreams. There will always be distractions and discouragement when we feel like we don’t belong, because the fact is, we don’t fit in.
We all go through our own trials whether it’s mental health issues or just a feeling of being lost within the society as an introvert living in a world that was tailored for an extrovert. We just try our best every day.
Those who write full-time and have already accomplished so much, the appetite is insatiable, and you are the heartbeat of the creative world. You have taken on the most difficult aspects and have managed to work full-time. Not everyone has managed that, and you should be proud of all you have accomplished in life.
Our journey may all be different and our paths hold different stories, but we all have one thing in common, and that’s our desire to create and show the world something unique that no one else has ever read, heard, or seen before.
It’s not about fame, money, or ego. It’s about love and passion for the art. We love what we do even with the trials and tribulations because we are chasing a dream. A dream to satisfy our appetite for storytelling that will never be satisfied. We are the writers of the world.
